I disagree-- ignorance and deception are far worse and more cowardly outliers, and everyone has their own ways of shining a light, some prefer to walk a safer and more accepted path, whereas others will shine the same light in a different way, perhaps via way of sarcasm or, yes, cynicism. Both can be equally useful, but at different times, IMO, especially when it comes to weeding out scammers.

I can't speak for Egalite but, he seems to get pissed off by the same things that I do. Top of the "no-no" list is something like a baccarat guru claiming to have a 50 step system that, consistently, wins using flat betting. Anybody who has the slightest knowledge of the game knows that you cannot beat baccarat with flat betting, over the long term. Unfortunately, there are those who want to listen to this type of tosh and jump to the defence of those that propagate it.

There are intelligent people on this site that insist the game cannot be beaten at all and can, they say, prove it. Well, at least they ask those who disagree to prove it and so far none has. An apparently well respected professional gambler, one John May, I believe agrees with them (except for ties I think). So by the same criteria your belief that the game can be beaten would draw the same kind of emphatic ridicule. You don't see the hypocrisy?

RE: killer. For a time there he looked like he was wanting to sell a method with unproven claims - scam. Apparently he is not doing that. What he does behind the scenes we should not speculate like a bunch of school girls. OTH, people have a right to sell systems. What is the big deal. People love systems! Allow me to state that anyone who has played this game for years knows it is impossible to win long term since it is a random game and random games cannot be beaten given table limits. OTH, the game could be beaten if the game was not random. So show us how to predict the game instead of cursing people out. No, not for you. I was playing the devil's advocate. I was saying in a roundabout way how can egalite and Alan and others criticize one method like yours, for instance, and not be criticized themselves. Neither one of them have shown a way to beat the game. There are people on this site who believe that Ego and Alan are either losers or just lucky or haven't played long enough to lose but those people don't stoop to ridicule them. They are hypocrites.
