I live in Ct and play alot at foxwoods and mohegan and some of the Asian dealers talk alot with the asian players and this slows down the game sometimes........I was going to make a list of all the mistakes I've seen dealers make but it would take me 20 minutes to write them all down....especially when the last hour of the dealer's shift come up at noon and 6:00 PM at Mohegan....by that time the dealers are totally spaced out, their back and feet and shoulders hurt, they are getting bombarded by smoke and obnoxious players and they just want to get the hell out of there..... and the mistakes I've seen, especially in that last hour of the shift, are incredible.

Always ask the dealer when they get off, and if they are in their last hour of the shift, pay special attention to what's going on to spot any mistakes, especially if you sit in seat # 8.

I was at Mohegan yesterday. Actually I was on my way to meet some people in Ct., and happen to pass the Mohegan Sun. I played for
five hours. Only got in three shoes. Squeaked out a few hundred dollars,
then went to check my player points. I got $110 for playing, and $50 bonus for showing up. These are points redeemable in the stores.

Hey, that is $30 per hour tax free toward a new TV.
My friends in the poker room don't get that.
Most of them are happy if they win $10 an hour and get a free beer.

Mohegan is pretty generous with the rooms, limo, and show tickets.
Better than AC.

The computers were down yesterday so maybe you got a little lucky with the points but they always are decent with such. I left without coloring up and another player sat in my seat. The floor was so hectic I wonder how long it took them to close me out!

But yeah, points in CT are valuable if you use them properly purchasing things you might buy anyway.

Oh heck yeah. At Foxwoods I used the points I accumulate to pay for two nights stay, food and purchased an IPod Touch and a Canon Digital SLR at the Apple Store. The only drawback with the IPod Touch and the Canon camera is that I have to purchase a one year warranty for them because I used points to buy them.

Always go to a host desk and ask if your play warrants a comp.
I assume you have a players card.

2. A nice feature of Foxwoods "Dream Points" is that they can be used to purchase an MGM gift card which can be used at the MGM properties in Las Vegas. I have used it at the Aria and Bellagio.
Only catch is that the points transfer at a 2:1 rate.
They also will expire at some point, so do this when you know you have a LV trip comming up.

1. Yeah that was when I was a Dream Cards member. Then when I was upgraded to Platinum around October of last year, my rooms are comped at the present time. But it was cool when I could pay my stay with points.

2. Oh shoot. I never knew that. Thanks for the heads up. I have the MGM Card for Vegas too yet I don't use it much since the Wynn/Encore hooks me up.

Right now with gasoline prices so high I don't think it would be a good idea to use Foxwood points in Vegas since it is a 2:1 transfer rate. I need the points to buy Mobil gas cards. I haven't paid for gasoline for a very long time.

Heh Heh... as for LV trips... because of those annoying snowstorms I had to cancel twice already. My next trip is probably around late March/early April.


P.S. Now I have a whole new project to work on. Finding out what I can do with these darn points. Heh. Didn't pay much attention to them because of me constantly figuring things out about baccarat.

Casino play tracking is a con? Could be but it will take a long time. It took Foxwoods 7 years to flat bet me because I was "cheating." Point is if you win big the casinos will send a limo or fly u in to keep playing. If you do stay and win more than what is statistically "acceptable" they will ask you to leave for "cheating." (Except in AC).
