It was not the amount of winnings as much as the amount of the bet that
got them nervous. Actually, I didn't get any heat until I started raising
my bets from a minimum of $25 to over $300. At the Taj, they put a limit when I went up to $1,000 and won a streak of six hands.
They said that I was losing the $25 bets and winning the $1,000.
At Showboat, I play at the $50 midibac table and go up to $500.
They told me a 10 to 1 spread was ok, as long as they didn't tink I was working with a team.
Today I spread my play around much more. If I win $3,000, I go to another casino.
Last year I did post the story of getting barred in Las Vegas at the Treasure Island Casino. I walked out of there with $24,000 all won
on the tie bet at the end of the shoe. It is very rare for me to bet the tie,
but I estimated that the only cards left in the shoe were tens and possibly an eight or nine. I hit two ties at the last two hands. Six monkeys followed by six monkeys. This was in the high limit room, $100 table.
The dealer and floor person, who were very friendly were amazed and said
"you are very lucky or very good." As the dealer took out the last cards from the shoe I asked If I could see them. The floor person said no. I looked at the dealer and said "you are holding face cards and an eight."
She and the floor person looked, smiled and said I was in deed very good.
I sat down waiting for the next shoe when the floor person handed me an envelope with the Tresspassing notice, and said, "if we ever see you here again, you will be arrested for tresspassing." That was my fault. I was showing off.
