A related Question about Bright Trading:

Do they hire traders for a salary plus bonus, or is this another place that puts up money for you to trade only after you put up your own money and then there is a sharing arrangement and or first loss deal etc?

No salary or bonus. You have to get your Series 7 and bring in $25,000. They gave me the deal of $.006 per share and mentorship with a 70/30 split of profits from what I remember. If it wasn't for the extreme desert heat I would of taken up on the deal. They only deal with NYSE stocks and not over the counter NASDAQ.

The salary and bonus was not really my concern since trading have an unlimited upside potential plus I could head to "work" in jeans. What mattered to me was the mentorship and the ability to shorten the learning curve. Because the skills you learn from a good/great mentorship can help carry you and liberate you from the typical daily grind that so many are accustom to. Plus you can carry those skills to other ventures and work any where you want.

I do record the card number and hand totals for shoe.

So far, I yet to find any use on the card number, but, for hand total, there is a high percentage of trend movement indicating what the next play outcome. I do built one of these findings into the trigger list. Those who got the list will know.

This is interesting. Consider a total of 9.
_Does it matter to you if it is natural or 3 cards
    -Consider a) 4 & 5
    b) 9 & 10

What do you record, and how does it influence your decisions?

Gerrard, thanks for the article. Now I know where the rumors may have
    started. Doesn't help me.

Dimenos, thanks for the input about Bright trading.
I know people in that business, and the earfull I got was
"he makes money, his company makes money, 2 out of 3 ain't bad"

Ask about the people who join him.
Basically he is constantly recruiting people, anyone with the money to put at risk is welcome. The arrangement gets a little complicated, but the up shot is he shares the winnings, but your investment takes the loss.
His firm also will override your trading decision once you go through the money you put at risk,

So, I am actually in Garnabys camp about this. In my opinion, this fellow is just recruiting, and people dreaming of becoming a professional gambler
are a natural market for this.

Would this experience help you get a job?

Not likely. But that is a discussion for another web site.

The trading world loves to hire/recruit people who were "successful" in gambling. It is the natural progression since most folks who can hack it in a casino setting and do well are folks who are good at emotional control, have discipline and a method to the madness and good at math and are not afraid of it. In other words all around good risk takers. If you went onto a tradinig floor of any firm you will run into tons of these people. So yes it is going to give you a massive leg up in getting hired.

This is because as he stated it will reveal the pairs and reversals very well ( I am very intrigued to find out what he means by this since he didn't get into specifics). He stressed that the method being taught to play is rubbish but the method of recording is one of the most effective he has encountered.

I offered $20 bucks to buy his card and asked him if he would mark all the plays he made of both wins and losses. He sold me the card but he didn't mark the wins and losses though. Still looking at it right now if I find anything interesting and concrete I will post it up. He started with $3500 as his stake and left with a $1200 profit. Not bad at all.

Ran into another fellow a few hours later who with two other people who looked like they were doing the same technique in recording the shoe but they didn't elaborate. Gave me the cold shoulder. Those folks did very well too.

There were a large number of individuals who used the method of recording both the Banker and Player numerical values per decision. These are the folks who also play the Tie bet. I saw a few did very well at betting ties yet they weren't betting big wagers. $5 and $10.
