Default I owe Ellis an apology

I think I kinda jumped on Ellis a little too hard and feel I owe him an apology. Although I do not often agree with him or his marketing on this site I do owe him some respect. I am entitled to my opinion but I dont have to express it too explicity.

All is forgiven. Sometimes we get overly into the mood of the crowd and stop thinking for ourselves. The same phenomenon happens at the table. You get drawn into going with the table instead of thinking for yourself. Unfortunately the table usually loses as evidenced by the 26% overall Vegas Casino Baccarat profits vs the 1.25% casino profit from commission. The lesson here for all of us, including me, is never lose sight of the big picture. Do your own thing. Don't be a lemming.

I came into the picture more than 30 years ago before the internet was even an idea. Players were starved for correct information. They had absolutely no competent advisers on their side of the table. Baccarat had nobody period. All BJ had was the card counting scammers - a sure way to lose. And the casinos knew this and promoted card counting even more. Players lost in droves while I was winning easily.

So I wrote NBJ which tells the truth about BJ. I was hoping to supplement my $40 checks from Eddy Olsen's BJ Confidential. Jerry Patterson paid me 15% of sales from NBJ. My first check was for $87,000. I was expecting a check for $50. NBJ alone sold over 8 million dollars. I wrote 11 more BJ and Baccarat books. 90% of sales was by word of mouth. We did almost no promotion. The difference was that my books told the truth.

My phone rang off the hook with BJ questions. I set up an 800 hot line. To give you an idea, my AT&T bill for my hot line averaged $18,000 a month. I set up 3 more hot lines manned by the best NBJ players. I quit a very good paying Math Professorship to teach NBJ and ECD Bac full time. I became an instant millionaire.

I made a LOT of sworn enemies! The whole casino world came down on me. Far worse, the whole card counting world came down on me. I put a lot of those guys plumb out of a very lucrative scam business. Many tried to get even on the internet. My name is mud all over the internet.

You can believe their crap or not as you choose but I'll tell you this: Card Counting is the best run scam of all time. And its making a comeback on the internet.

But for all their effort, the card counting world cannot come up with a single winning player. But they get around this with their motto:

"It doesn't matter whether you win or lose as long as you make the correct play."

And, "If you are losing you are merely on the wrong side of the Standard Deviation."

Here's my motto: "Winning IS Everything!"

What they DON'T tell you is that EVERYONE is on the wrong side of the standard deviation.

You might ask, "who could possibly be that gullible?"

Well, I'll tell you - Just about EVERYONE.

Then I run into the likes of Garnabby who thinks the card counters are telling the truth and I'm the scammer. All that without ever having played.

I guess it just never occurred to his feeble brain: If card Counting worked, the casinos would have been gone a long time ago. There are thousands of counters. All wishful thinkers. Yet casinos have the highest profits of all time. Go figure!

Hey, if you don't believe me be my guest - go try it. I did! Nobody counts faster or better than I do. I lost my shirt, just like you will. Watch my lips: It's a scam! A highly believable scam but a SCAM nonetheless - The best of all time.

Right Gerard but I'm very used to it at this point. But you've got to give them credit for one thing. They are HIGHLY organized. And they've got their people completely brain washed. And brain dead. Geez, they even have their own movies. A very tough well organized crowd indeed. But that doesn't make them right. The Flat Earth crowd was highly organized too. Everyone thought that Tesla was wrong too, and Columbus, and Edison, and Galileo and many others.

    Mr. Ellis,
    You are an OK guy.
To forgive shows a lot of strength.
The weaker ones could never manage this hurdle.
Always good to see you here.

    Sounds like the Wizardofvegas.com forum.

True about counting, yet it is possible to beat single deck games with +85% penetration and good rules.

Right Sevenshooter. That is why in Tunica in head to head single deck they only deal 3 hands. With more players they deal even less. Casinos have top mathematicians working for them. They know all the tricks. But players often frown on doing the same thing casinos do every day. Strange.

    REALITY-CHECK:

sillE Elli is just a dumb liar. Anyone who affords him, or any of his few angry followers, any respect will forever, apparently, be a "sucker" like him.

However, the rest of us are still waiting for any facts to the contrary! (After laying it all out in the other threads.)
