Default How to post a graphic

For those of you who wish to post up a shoe or some other bit of baccarat minutiae, here are the basic ways to do it.

You can insert and attachment to your post by click on the little paperclip at the top of the message header.

The trouble with that method is the size restraints in this particular forum are relatively small so you may not wind up with what you really wanted to post.

If you need to post up something that everyone can see without clicking or downloading things, you'll want to LINK your graphic to the message. The following two pictures are linked graphics to a holding place in Google's web site.

You can use anybody's hosting service or your own webspace for the photo but it has to stay there so the link you've posted can be seen.

And you can make the photo any size you wish it to be using whatever software you use for photos and photo editing.

So, when you need to input a picture, click on the "Insert Image" button at the top (it looks like a mountain kind of) and either type or paste the web address of your picture.

This is pretty standard photo entry for just about any web forum.

And you can "preview" what the message will look like, just as you can with any other message here, in case you've got the wrong picture, it's not looking right or you need to make an adjustment of some kind.

Yeah, I saw everyone was kind of struggling with it so it was time for some basic instruction.

Very Good! But I'd sure like the members here to get back to system 40 and start winning with it. I like to see guys beat the casino. It does my heart good. Everyone needs a purpose in life. As I get older my purpose becomes more urgent to me. I'm looking for someone to pick up the torch. Casinos CAN be beat with a little know how.

Garnabby, you are a confessed plagiarist. That is for sure. But why would somebody Email you an old system? That makes no sense. I'll have to call you a liar on that. So go ahead and post it. Then you'll only be a plagiarist. But I guess you think plagiarism doesn't apply to halfwits. What does any of this have to do with a way to post shoes? AD's way is a whole lot better than anything you've come up with to help your forum out.

Why don't you try posting a system of your own design on your own thread. Show everyone you CAN play after all. Maybe something based on card values. By the looks of your post, you obviously need to get back on your meds.

This begs the question, why would anyone want to "wreck another thread" here?

It looked to me like the guy was attempting to show how to post up a graphic file or picture. Is this a bad thing? Does the thread really need to be wrecked?

    What is the point?

    All,

With all of the shoes and examples being posted rather poorly here lately, perhaps it is time for a quick refresher on "How To Post A Graphic" here in the forum.

As nobody ever actually reads back more than a few days here, I had to bring this old chesnut back up to the front so everyone will get the primer on how to post up your shoe or screenshot.

Please ignore all of the constant bickering and stupid chatter from later posts in this thread. You only really need to read Message #1.

    Archer,

Make sure you post the image with the complete URL including the abcd.jpg extension to the file.

There will be NO [img] tags or similar. What usually happens is the local software corrupts the "paste" by using a shorter version of what you copied. Yes, it is a pain to check and make sure nothing "extraneous" has been added to your link so use the "Go advanced" option and make sure it looks like you wanted to when you posted it.

The following link is what the photo is actually pointing to and is what SHOULD be put into the "HTTP://" request box when you click on the little image graphic when composing.

You could also just paste the FULL link into the message and that would also work.

    Archer,

Is this the one you're trying to post?

I left the "src" in there so the link would show. The actual link that gets posted in that "insert graphic" box is the actual link without the "src=".

    Hope this helps.

Yes, it is! Thanks for that! I will see now if I can do another. So I can just omit the paarts of the link that are additional to what I see here right?

(PS -this is Jersey's shoe recently posted on BTC) I just ran my standard trend method on it flat bet. More on this in a new thread I want to start.

Here's the FAQ section on images and attachments:

BaccaratForums.com - FAQ: Reading and Posting Messages

How do I attach a file to a post?
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.
On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

What files types can I use? How large can attachments be?
In the attachment window you will find a list of the allowed file types and their maximum sizes. Files that are larger than these sizes will be rejected. There may also be an overall quota limit to the number of attachments you can post to the board.

How do I add an image to a post?
If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.
To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing [img] before the URL and [/img] after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image. You can insert pictures from your albums (?) in this way too.

UPDATE: I've increased the size limits for .jpg images, so this should help with attaching images. To make the images bigger once posted, just click them to enlarge and then click again to see the image on it's own.
