Thread: New award for GG

Presented by Google.."This site may harm your computer"..It was back in late april.. i started to experience my drive overworking itself and a uncontrollable mouse.I run 2 anti virus software and ... did a full scan(which took forever).. one of them detected 2 viruses..I never posted or download anything on GG.. so did not think they came from GG until Google checked out the site and found malaware...My suspicion of GG come further by GG posters noting virus detection as well..furthermore regular posters ..One who blasted steve at VLS constantly..beg to return to VLS to offer his service..and nice guy steve says o.k....GG always been a good source of info until recently...too bad..just beware that Google is correct..

A friend of mine back in Windsor is really into the anti-virus stuff... runs about 5 of those daily. In the last couple of years, he emailed 2 different "packages" for circumventing particular costs. BOTH TIMES I (ONLY) HAD TO RELOAD MY COMPUTER... the one i use the most, in the evenings at home. (Never had any other trouble with my set-up here at home, and which i've connected to a lot of other appliances since.)

All i use on this computer is AVG. (Yeah, i have a newer Vista quad-core here as well, but this one i found on the street here beside me a couple of years ago runs XP so much better than the Vista ever worked, even with all the up-dates there.) And like 99.9999% of computer users... WHAT THE H*LL ARE THE "SPIES" GOING TO GET OFF A MACHINE WHICH I NEVER USE FOR BANKING, ETC, BECAUSE THOSE ACTIVITIES ARE JUST ASKING FOR TROUBLE ANYWAY. Am i wrong?

But the salesmen won't let customers out of the store w/o trying to scare the heck of them. Don't buy into all that crap.

Same philosophy as not taking the good car on the "road trips"... never know which "nut" is going to stick the tires, etc, mostly because you're from somewhere else. (And if you're not making a few enemies, you're not trying hard enough.)
