Default Has anyone played on Bet Phoenix?

I have checked out Bet Phoenix and I like their live Baccarat. Has anyone played for real money consistently and had any problems getting their money out? This is not a spam. It is a real question. If you think there is another live site that accepts US players let me know.

    5mil,

The only two players I know personally that have real money accounts there have made withdrawls from Bet Phoenix with no apparent problems. I personally have not put any money their casino although I do have a current account, just in case.

AD, I have never played on the internet, so I need to ask a basic question?. How exactly do you get money to these people, and how do you get it back?

I did get a notice from my bank a few months ago that they were no longer wire transfering money to gambling sites, as per a particular Federal Law.

    Any information would be helpful.

    Profbac,

Well, when I paid money into my accounts, they generally would take a VISA card but you had to previously have had it "verified". This process is big everywhere except in the United States for some reason. Once I did that process, it went smoothly.

However, the next time I added money (football season prep) I had to call my "account manager" and we did it over the phone. They run the card through a third party. You pay them, they collect from them.

On getting a payment from them, I just click on cash disbursment and they cut me a check that showed up the next day!! That part amazed me as I was expecting just regular mail service for the payment.

There was no charge for my two check payments to me but I don't make the withdrawls until the end of each season.

Note that this was not Bet Phoenix. These were two sports books that I use and the reason I went with them was because a long time ago, these were the only two that would accept Jai-Alai live wagering at the time and I've had good luck with them so I keep them around.

I have played on Bet Phoneix. All of the times that I withdrew my money I had no problems. You get the choice between check or money gram. I like money gram becasue I can get my money instant, but they do charge a fee.
I am not playing there anymore. The site is down a lot and I have experienced a decent amount of tech problems while playing.

I've been using it to practice. Once I'm consistently profitable, I plan to go live.

Yeah, I called my account manager yesterday to inquire about the outage, and she said they've been having technical problems, but that once it's back up, she'll let me know.

By the way, due to the outage, I started looking around for other online casinos offering live baccarat tables. The only other one I could find that's open to US players is Bogart. However, it turns out that Bogart and BetPhoenix are the exact same entity, even though their web-sites look different. Their live games are exactly the same.

There are dozens of other online casinos offering live baccarat tables, but only BetPhoenix/Bogart appears to accept US players.

Yes, it appears BPH and Bogart are the same. I play at BPH with good results on the live money tables so far playing the $5 and $10 tables, depending on which one looks good when I show up. Having the tote boards makes it easy to take an educated guess as to what table to jump into.

trust me guys they know what they are doing they have shift managers who monitor every account and they call it loss prevention, read the rules they have the right to do anything they want, last year during march madness i sent 2000 and turned it to 24000 they capped my account to 5.oo max and when i switch to another sport and won they capped that too they did let me cash out and now they send email with special bonuses . in my opinion land based casino is the best way to go

Yeah, I wish I lived closer to a land casino. The closest one from me is Horseshoe in Hammond, IN, which is about an hour's drive. Then there's Harrah's in Joliet, which is about two hour's drive. If I played only a couple times a week, that would be doable. But if it's an every-day kind of thing, online is definitely preferable.

Well, I heard houses are now pretty cheap in Vegas. Hmm ...

Yeah, I hear you. Since I signed up for the fun-play at BetPhoenix, I've already received two phone calls from my account manager asking me when I was planning on depositing $$. Kinda annoying, but I guess that's part of their routine.

Well, if I can get my play up to the point where I can consistently net at least $1K/day, I think I can motivate myself to drive an hour to the Horseshoe every day.

Yeah, at BetPhoenix, they deal the baccarat very slowly, and there's always a confirmation period where the hand is double-checked. But I've experienced connection disruptions, which seem rather periodic in nature, forcing the browser to reconnect. Hopefully that is the problems they're trying to fix up.

    Just an update.

All four tables at Bet Phoenix are back up and playing as of this message.

Just pulled a quick +6 out before the video sync finally started to bother me again so I exited the shoe early.

Hey, it's Sunday. Take some time off!!

Yeah, my BetPhoenix account manager gave me a courteous phone call to inform me about this. She also took the opportunity to tell me all the great bonus promotions they were running.

Well, as Steve mentioned, they are really nice before you deposit, but not so nice when you want to withdraw.

Well, I didn't take any of the bonus things that are always offered and my check showed up in three days.

I can live with that. I think it's the bonus thing that really screws up getting your money out of these places.

On another account online, I did not take any bonuses and got the check overnight when I requested it. I thought they would mail it out but it came FedEx right to the door! I really wasn't expecting that one for sure.

Thanks, nice to know. Those bonuses are tempting, but probably only to entice those who are bound to lose.

What other account online are you referring at the end, Adulay? Since US players only can play at BP and BogartCasino, I am just curious. Thanks.

    Scott,

The other two accounts are on RaceBook dot com and BetUS dot com.

They are my original sports betting sites that I've used for a few years now. They do NOT offer live table games but every now and then the spreads are off by a point or two on one or the other so I keep both of them around. Sports wagers only although they both have RNG casinos and all of that but I don't play RNG stuff so it's sports wagers only.

I didn't take any of the offered bonuses from either place and there have been zero problems getting money out when requested.

Speaking of RNG, don't some online casinos use a 6 or 8 deck computerized shoe, rather than pure RNG, to simulate the game as closely as possible to a live draw? If so, how do the computerized shoe results compare to live draw results?

    Davel,

The only thing I know about RNG baccarat is that I don't play it. If it's not a live shoe, I won't even try it. Now, with that said, I have played the mechanical baccarat machines in Macau as they shuffle and use a full 8 deck shoe, it's just that the "dealer" is an intricate mechanical device that deals the cards. Simply awesome to watch and play on.

Hopefully someone else will chime in here with some RNG experiences or maybe even start a new thread about it.

Sorry, I'm just not in the camp that says RNG is just as good as live.

I read somewhere on Bodog's bac...it's a programmed 8 deck that reshuffles after every hand delt.. I played with real money.. it didn't take long to get the feeling ur bet is getting tracked...compare play money vs real..u'll see the difference.

I played with fun money on bet phoenix and got up to $600,000. I eventually lost it because the feed kept going down. That is the reason I will not play real money. If I cashed a check for $600,000 I would be sending this post from jail. There tables are way too slow!!!!!!! but you can play all day and anyday, so it balances out.

    Clare12,

I have not had a dropped connection while playing for real money. If I've finished a shoe and am just copying down the rest of the hands for my paperwork, it will drop the connection about every 7 hands or so,but it comes right back up. Obviously that's to free up the video stream for the money players otherwise people would just log in and clog up the pipe!

Yes, BetPhoenix is slow, but that's good for people still learning to play for real. If you want speed, go to Black Orchid. That's baccarat on speed!

OK, so I'll ask the question.

How does one lose $600K because the "feed kept going down"?

I am looking into opening an account to play at "LIVE" tables. Bet Phoenix says they re-shuffle a shoe after a joker shows. Why would anyone want to play a shoe that way? Does anyone know of an online casino that deals the whole shoe out like a land based casino?

    Briang,

I believe you've misread what they said.

They do deal the whole shoe out.

They call the "cut card" the Joker and it is placed at the back of the deck like any other casino.
