    Default Tit-for-tat strategy.

    The overall-best strategy, hands down.

I don't know what you'll get if you google that, but several years ago, a study was conducted to consider all the known game-strategies under every conceivable playing circumstance.

The strategy is seemingly simple: Quick retaliation; and quick forgiveness.

Offhand, that's about the only strategy i know of which is common to both evolution, and religion... predicated on passivity.

The outstanding question would be, what of aggression? When is it appropriate, and strategically-correct to "expropriate" another's possessions, rights, etc?

Perhaps the idea here is to go about one's business until another's transgression(s), at which point having already taken most of the necessary precautions?

Over the past week i have viewed a number of web-boards "agonizing over the proper rules of a forum". Most of the pitfalls seem to include becoming overly- subjective, prudish, etc... almost in some sort of (unconsciously) organized effort to avoid deciding even what their forums were trying to accomplish in the first place, and how to achieve that. (Addicts are stubborn for going out of their ways to find ever more reasons to continue it, while avoiding that (little bit of) "hard work in the beginning". Eg, most of us need lose only about 10-20 lbs in a month, once and for all, to dramatically better the remaining decades of our lives.)

Wouldn't the above strategy provide a way to pivot from one such purpose to an other here?

EDIT: Here's a good general link to it, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tit_for_tat .

Im interested to see where you are going with this gaming theory strategy. I did google it and read about the prisoners dilema etc. I'm not sure how you will tie this back into baccarat, but it will be interesting to see.
