Does anyone have the latest book by Jean Grosjean,
it is titled "Beyond Counting 2nd edition" ?

Apparently most of the AP-things, like waiting (eons) for a baccarat-dealer to mistakenly "flash" the first (undealt) card, have little use in the real world.
There's a three-card poker(?) card-counting strategy for a 2(?)% advantage over the house. But for a variety of reasons, which i'd like to make a post of here someday soon, i think those sorts of strategical themes are "traps" of no worthwhile long-run value to the players.
No such book is worth a couple hundred to anyone. (How many is enough... when the best stuff we must find out for ourselves?)

Garnaby,
I actually agree with you about Grosjeans book.
Here is exactly what I am looking for.
There is a carnival game called Four Card Poker.
They have it in Atlantic City and Mohegan Sun. I have not found it in Las Vegas.
This is strictly for low budget entertainment.
I play a seven part strategy from Eric Fromes booklet.
Plays well over a drink and with friends.
The Wizard says that the 2nd edition of Beyond Counting has a
ten step strategy. I wanted to find out if its is
a) real strategy or sneak a peak at the dealers card strategy (cheating)
b) what does it have that Frome doesn't have.
If the book was $40 I would buy it. $200 plus, is out of the question.
The game is quite popular here in Vancouver -- at least two tables per casino. Roughly 9 out of 10 dealers flash the bottom card so two of six dealer's cards are known. I asked the Wizard last month whether this extra information would translate into a player edge using the right strategy. His response was it was impossible to quantify due to prohibitive calculations. By the way, table max is quite high here: can't remember but somewhere between $200 and $500.
[QUOTE=sevenshooter;18412]I play 3 Card Poker regularly against flashing dealers backed by a team of advantage-gamblers.
Very Interesting sevenshooter.
Have you looked at the www.discountgambling.com site.
He goes into some collusion strategies for different games.
Also the fellow who runs the site is more willing to put in the time on
complex scenarios.
