If I had a method that only won 40% in a 50/50 game but never lost more than say 5 in a row would it be considered as a holy grail because I can make an mm around or a simple martingale would suffice to make it win

I would say yes. If it never lost more than 5 in a row with good mm. Have you come up with such a strategy?
Never, is a DIRTY word in gambling. Losing 5 in a row, is a 3%-4.5% occurrance.
If you could play baccarat and never loose more than five in a row then your onto a winner, if i was you idd be selling the house and get down to the casino and live there for a year and retire with a few hundred million, good luck and im sure you will make headlines !!
That is correct i know it is gamblers fallacy to say sometrhing is due but has anyone ever seen 50 bankers in a row but if one ever sawe 50 bankers the chance of an other bankers showing is still 50/50 but i am thinking there must more stricter triggers that have to fit in to the mathematics of the game
I have read on other forums that some use these unseen triggers by us not by them to bet and within a few hands it hit
43 Players in a row - yes it is true!
I test with more than 200,000 hands and do not see any streak of P or B more than 16. GL
Joshky,
Seriously? If I could see 43 Players in a row, I'd own the deli, the car they're giving away and get free dinners until 2025!!
By the time the 17th Player had been hit, I'd be at the table max and for the next 26 hands, it would be $2000 each!! (And no commission!!)
I've always played for the big run. No matter what system you're playing, once a streak hits 9 or 10, you've pulled enough profit out of it and it's time to start progressing those winners, just in case you've stumbled into the Mother Lode of streaks.
Sure, you'll hold back a portion of the winners each hand to keep the profits going, but shoot for the sky when the big streak shows up.
AD (14 has been my long streak this year)
giabao,
The chance of a streak of 17 or more based on p's = 1/2 in a continual stream of outcomes is the sum of the chances of each of the (exact) runs of 17, 18, 19, etc, to infinity, which is ((1/2) exp 18) + ((1/2) exp 19) + ((1/2) exp 20) +... = ((1/2) exp 17) = (about) 0.000007629394531, or about 1 in 131,072 attempts.
Therefore, your findings above are (, at first glance,) not unreasonable. However, one may have about as likely have found one such run after only 25,000 tries.
(Eg, the chance of a run of exactly 17 is (the chance of the first 17 of one side) X (the chance the run is broken by the other side on the 18th outcome). For more information on this sort of series, refer to http://www.math.toronto.edu/mathnet/questionCorner/geomsum.html .)
