Default Card counting

I know there has been some interest in developing a method for card counting in Baccarat. For those who can find something that is great but I am thinking that this is a futile attempt. I am not a mathematician but in a discussion with someone who is the response was:

"Maybe it needs to break it down one by one specific result pattern like BBPBBP, or BPBPB; and explore each one see if find out what property the card subset can have. Explain it in math way,

{BBPBBP} <--> {?????} or f(cards), while the ? and f() is unknown and is to explore.

I am afraid that it's really complicated, since a hand can have 4 cards, or 5 cards or 6. Given a set of cards, say 50 cards, if I want {BBPBBP}, what combinations will correlate to such {BBPBBP}.

If we can have some data from {????}--> f(), similarly then we can deduce a subset f()--->{???}; we will bet on those ???. Well, it still goes back to predict the f(), but it could be worked out later."

So even if we found a correlation I don't think it would be as simple as a "0" factor or a "9" factor etc. However, if any of you get some good preliminary data I think we can test it. We can use computer simulations of real shuffles.

I think the worst way to begin such a discussion is to set it up in bj-math form. And certainly not to follow this up with the "intimidation" served up in their paper-back spiels.

There are so many more (valid) math/physics baccarat-avenues to continue to explore... even researching and designing a computer-program to only track the ASM's (card-by-card) would have much more value in baccarat than bj.

I don't understand why you referenced BJ here or "paper-back spiels." I don't think the quote I sent had anything to do with either, did it?

Also Ron 90010 showed me something from Wizard of Odds that might be interesting. This regarding advantage betting when certain cards are first card out. See: ♠Baccarat Flashing Dealers by The Wizard of Odds

    Hi Archer,

    No, not even in-directly.

After my "little run in" with Sonny at Blackjack and Card Counting Forums - BlackjackInfo.com , i become "touchy" over anything "notational" here. I'm sure you've had enough of your own experiences with blackjack to know that the excessive math, and fanaticism with discipline are mostly-useless "in the field".

Even when i presented a simple and valid counter-example against "flat betting" (in particular situations, from the Wizard, which he later re-verified in a personal email to myself), "know-it-all" Sonny put also him in the "voodo-section".

All i was trying to do was find others to work together on similar problems. What i found, in my opinion and experience, was a small group of smug "internet guys" preaching stuff that JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN at the casinos. Ironically, sort of the perfect inverse of Ellis' board.

I just wanted to make it clear to everyone here that baccarat has by no means been declared unbeatable, however.

    Which Blackjack would you choose?

It seems that the game of blackjack is up against some stiff competition. I won't lie, I went to the darkside last night, and it was pretty tasty. So if you had to choose, which would it be?

By the way, as I was going through the line I asked the lady what a blackjack taco was and she said, "it's a taco . . . . and it's black." Sold me. She didn't mention the baja sauce.

Has anyone ever told you you're bad luck?

Those were my mother's dying words. But I guess if your body's covered in third degree burns, and your foot's caught in a bear trap, you tend to start talkin' crazy.
