. . .that I have too much time on my hands right now!
I was going over Grab's demo shoes. I have my ideas about the bet placements but some plays confuse me, most don't. I do like the bet method though. It reminds me of a modified "Turnaround" betting scheme which has a lot of validity IMO. It doesn't go nearly as deep as Turnaround and that is a good thing! It is more like an algorithm that was developed by Robert Licello some years back for volatile stock investments and now is called Price Cost Averaging (PCA). Once good bet placements are determined it is a great way to recover losses and even exploit winnings which Grab's prog doesn't seem to do. The one that I used to compare methods with Grab's against those shoes doesn't either. This is probably a flaw.
Okay, I always analyze flat bet because ultimately you need to win a good portion of hands to win. But, as Grab mentioned it is also very important to have wins dispersed throughout losses pretty evenly. Otherwise negative prog or recoup method will get killed at some point.
Grab's Demo Shoes 1, 2, 3 flat bet wins 1, 6, 1 = 8 units (good) (check m math)
My "Base" betting method wins -1, 8, -3 = 4 units (not as good)
Grab's Demo Shoes 1,2,3 with his prog wins 20,17,19 (excellent)
My base method and my prog wins 15, 24, -10 (not as good)
To be fair I ran my prog against Grab's bet placements! and got -7, 32, 10 for the 3 shoes. So perhaps with a better prog my base method would fair better than it did.
Without knowing Grab's exact method for increasing his bet we can still draw some preliminary conclusions here.
Bet placement efficiency fairly close comparing shoe to shoe. His recovery prog seems to be much better than the one I used.
By the way: My prog is simply bet 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 side independent and restart only after winning 2 out of 3. So when you lose 7 hands in a row you lose 28 units. No stop losses. If you lose 7 then restart at 1 again. Not the most effective prog. Just a mindless method. But I had to use something that would compare favorably with unit bets of Grab's. Chas. Guettiing, for instance, is a great prog but doesn't go deep when losing so. . . pick your poison.

I am sure you know, it isn't about the amount of time, as it is about what you do with the time you have, and in that....we all have a limit!!!
