Okay, for those of you whom hopefully have READ my "Commentary on Strategies with DEMOS Provided" thread on the "Shooting the Breeze" Forum, I am now going to talk a little about "Betting" and show you an alternate form of betting using the same shoes I used in the thread mentioned above on the Forum mentioned above.
In this method we are sort of using a mild STEP-UP Flat betting technique that looks for "Three losses out of Four Hands" before stepping-up to the next level. Now that's losing at a 75% rate, if your PLAYING STRATEGY is sound, that will NOT happen continually for three levels, what can I say, it just doesn't. Once you are at the next level you wait again for "Three losses out of four hands" BEFORE stepping-up again, (OR), if you have cleared your SERIES losses to ZERO then you STEP-DOWN to the ORIGINAL Unit Level no matter what level you are on. Let's examine this:
BEGIN UNIT SIZE $10 ... (3 Losses out of 4 hands) GO TO $15 or 1.5 Units, OR, if series losses are clear, back to $10
NOW UNIT SIZE is $15 ... (3 Losses out of 4 hands) GO TO $25 or 2.5 Units, OR, if series losses are clear, back to $10
NOW UNIT SIZE is $25 ... (3 Losses out of 4 hands) GO TO $50 or 5.0 Units, OR, if series losses are clear, back to $10
You should NEVER have to continue to another level if your PLAYING STRATEGY is sound.
Note, you can make the above Betting Scheme work at HIGHER Values, just keep the RATIOS the same!
Please see the attached DEMONSTRATIONS I have provided to see this method in action! Remember, the RESULTS are the SAME as the INITIAL commentary demos, I am just using a different "Betting Scheme" for those who wish to bet more conservatively; it's a much more leisurely approach to betting. Again, the KEY is always the "Playing Strategy", (the Method which determines which hands to place bets on), if that is sound, then you should always have a VERY NICE ... OUT POINT of at least (5 - 10) units every time you play; and this will usually occur before Hand No. 50, so be looking for that "Out Point" always! Never stay at a profit level too long otherwise it will diminish your RETURN on WAGERS; if you stay at a level too long usually, about 70% of the time, you'll head downwards in profits as the shoe moves forward, thus, it's always better to get out and not risk more.
Again, just to reiterate, I did NOT use this "Betting Scheme" when I played these shoes, I used the "Betting Scheme" that was demonstrated in the INITIAL DEMOS I provided, however, some of you commented that you were looking for a (2%) edge over the house, and this method, even though it has much less risk than the ORIGINAL DEMOS, produces a VERY NICE EDGE against the house. We'll be discussing my definition of the "House Edge" in upcoming posts because the "Theoretical Edge" and "MY EDGE" are I think totally different.
As always, I hope this POST makes a good impression with you and I wish good fortune to all of you!
