| | Can You Make Enough Money to Live On From Online Baccarat? I'm a newbie here and am learning how to play baccarat.
I live in Thailand, where it is very cheap to live. At the moment i work 4 days a week teaching English for 600 pounds a month. To be frank, I'm sick of doing this after 10 years. I have always been a good card player and am good with odds(figures), as i studied statistics at university.
I heard of people making money from online sites.
I need some money as I have new additions to my family, and have been away for too many years to make a return to my old profession in the UK.
My real question is - is it possible to earn 500 pounds(UK) a month from doing this baccarat thing,if I spend a lot of time learning?
Obviously, it is a how long is a piece of string question. it depends how good I am at it.
I am not greedy, I would be willing to wait a long time for good hands to bet on.
If this is possible - I am now reading many books on the subject. Could some of you guys offer some suggestions too which sites to play?
I joined Zodiac Casino which seems ok, but I haven't looked at any others yet.
I opened an account there with postal orders. I can't get a credit card due to my working abroad.
Would this be a problem for some sites?
Which sites are best for earning about this amount of cash? Which games, the lowest level of cash ones?
I'm going to search through the archives here.
Any advice, good or bad very welcome.
Cheers |

| | First off, good luck with whattever you choose to do. I don't know what 600 pounds is in USD but if it is cheap to live where you are you shouldn't have to much trouble making your goal. But here are my tips if you are interested in doing this for a living.
1) since you say you are still learning you are going to have to dedicate your self to becoming a student of the game. Read as much as you can, watch others play, practice practice practice, and study study study. Learn everything you can about strategy, patterns, systems etc. The more you understand the game the better off you will be.
2) Know which game is your best. Its about making a living now not having fun and you want to play the game where you are most likley to succeed.
3) have a bankroll big enough to handle the swings for what ever limit you play.
3) Patience and Discipline. Two of the most important aspects of being a baccarat player in my opinion. You will have some big wins and you will take some tough losses. Don't let this aspect of baccarat drive you crazy, its a roller coaster ride of emotions and you have to be able to mentally handle it.
4)keep your stats, there are a lot of places where you can keep track of your play (ex. Winnings/losses, hand history, and tourney stats). This will give you an additional way to look at how you are doing at the tables and where your best at.
And once again study study study. You can never learn too much. You may not jump right into the baccarat world a winner but with patience, discipline, practice, and learning the game you will grow hopefully into a great baccarat player.
Also I suggest you work a part time job at least while you are trying this baccarat thing out. Make sure its what you want to do. |

| | Re: Can You Make Enough Money to Live On From Online Baccarat? No one has consistently profited by baccarat. Don't get sucked into others' false claims. There is YET no mathematically-sound or otherwise winning (non-cheating) system for that game, except possibly some card-tracking systems which are just to much for most people to employ. (Look at this site, is there any thing concrete?)

Playing baccarat online is the easiest and most common way to get a mathematical advantage. If you know how to hustle the sign-up bonus then you can consistently make money. I did this for a few years before it was illegal in the US. It requires almost no skill at all and the bankroll requirements are very low if you start off slowly. The key is to take full advantage of the bonuses and rebate offers. There used to be good opportunities at almost every online casino but I don't know if they still exist. A lot of the casinos caught on to the weakness and started offering sticky bonuses or large wagering requirements which makes it tougher to get their money. The second best way to get a mathematical advantage at baccarat is to play in tournaments. They can be tougher to find and you need to know the proper tournament strategy, but it can pay off since the prizes are usually pretty big. This requires more skill than playing online but it’s nothing that a motivated player can’t get a feel for in a few months with enough practice. The bankroll requirements are higher because of the high variance as well. Beating the live games is much tougher and usually requires some unusual circumstances. The opportunities are rare and you need to have an incredible amount of skill and knowledge to make it work. In most cases the techniques involved are much more profitable against other games so live baccarat doesn’t attract too many pro players (except cheaters, who I don't consider pros). |

| | Re: Can You Make Enough Money to Live On From Online Baccarat? Hey Punja, I like your style and expressed desire to succeed in the tough world of casino gambling. Others have given some sound advice here regarding online casino rewards, special deals, coupons and comps' hustling.
A recent US poker room cheating scandal starkly exposed the fact that online casino cheating is as easy for them as pushing a few computer buttons. Personally, I don't trust ANY online casino, even those that are allegedly 'honest.' But that's just me... If I cannot see who is running it, and where their alleged headquarter's computers are, what their games' rules are, what the house edge is set on, and whether I will get my money in the long-shot event that I actually do win something... well, if you are a trusting, naive soul, go ahead. I think internet casino bosses have this motto on their very large, expensive desks: God would not have made so many sheep if He did not want them shorn. Good luck |

this forum is a joke !
read all first posts since the beginning.
Punja, ShookeCeribre and many others are fake members, created (for one day existence) only to start this forum and include always the same afiliation links for the same online casinos.
don't be sputid.

| | Re: Can You Make Enough Money to Live On From Online Baccarat? If you're looking for a mathmatical edge for an online game, learn to play no limit hold'em poker. A good player (i.e. tight and aggressive play) can play with a positive expectation over the long run. The above post's pertaining to bankroll, discipline, patience, etc. are great advice and certainly pertain to poker. And the sign up bonus's also work for the poker sites.
The best site I found for advice and help was Internet Texas Holdem. I don't have the specific web address anymore since I quit playing when got so difficult to get your money in and out but if you're not in the US, it should be pretty easy.
Good luck. |

| | Re: Can You Make Enough Money to Live On From Online Baccarat? I forgot to add this important bit to my post about online casinos. It concerns regulations. Anyone who wants to bet with an online casino needs to ask: Who regulates them? Are they regulated at all, by any independent authority? If so, who? Or are they self regulated?
If I promised you I am honest, you can trust me with your money, and I will look after your interests, would you believe me? What if I said I am self regulated? Would that make it better? No? Why not? I promised. Cross my heart. Good luck... |

GEOTT,
"Even a journey of 10,000 miles starts with the first step."
I've been here since last Oct; and this site apparently began shortly before that. The alternatives (for baccarat) seem to be: VLSroulette.com Forum - Index www.RouletteForum.net Roulette System Forum - www.RouletteForum.net Roulette System Forum? Gambler's Glen Message Boards http://www.worldcasinodirectory.com/...carat-6077.htm Gambling Forums - Online Gambling Message Boards
and of course, Ellis at www.beatthecasino.com.
All but the last one are completely free. None of the above sites, and including this one, advertizes/posts links blatantly... much less giving any cause for concern. Unless (as i strongly suspect given the private emails about this matter of yours) we're really talking about the last site above, which aggressively lures novice players with false hopes of big wins; but ignores/deletes/hides from proved evidence to the contrary.
I waited a while before composing this post to check that your post is still here. I guess this forum really does have nothing to hide, etc, or other "issues". And i would be happy to invite you to the free new private forum here should you return to read this. That forum is for those who are more serious about the game, with membership limited only to better preserve any new strategies which might actually work.
Interesting that you picked a thread with one of my first posts (to any forum). In conclusion, i think anyone would be happy with the progress just i have made here since then.
This topic connects to the other thread Hello: Looking to Learn How to Play Baccarat and Make Friends
