Default Why all the hostility?

It seems like people have been getting very upset when I try to help them lately. Every time I try to correct a mistake people jump all over me and start attacking me. Why can’t we have an open community where people accept criticism without lashing out? If people are here to learn about Baccarat, why does everyone get so upset when I try to teach things? I try to teach them about loss rebates (which have been known to earn $138,000 per day) but people ignore it and complain about my coupon advice, which they don’t even understand. I try to explain some math that is useful to players and developers but people attack me and complain about my explanations. I try to talk about professional playing techniques and people lash out against me calling me a phony. I try to start a discussion about optimal betting methods and nobody is interested. I'm trying to help people earn money here and they don't want it! Why does everyone on this website have such an axe to grind? Why is everyone completely unwilling to improve their systems or even listen to advice about it? Why does everyone want to stop me from teaching people how to win? Am I bad for business or something?

Most of us have been burned by systems and system sellers. Others have the attitude of "if it sounds too good...". Others dont want to be helped. I think the best thing to do is post your ideas and thoughts and if it helps a couple of people then everyone feels better about it.

What hostility? I went looking for a few days and must have missed it. You and G had an exchange of views and ideas and got over it. Have others been ringing your bells? Let me know who they are and I promise to send around some qualified pacifiers to reeducate them. I hope you are not packing up and getting ready to decamp, as you are one of a handful here who can speak out on math and gambling games in a way that is meaningful. This will change in time, I guess, even though we have a massive 12K membership of cyberghosts that never say a goddam thing here.

Savant,
In a post yesterday you said "or people who know the exact results of the next hand of baccarat you will begin to understand that they are not gambling at all." I find it difficult to understand where you are coming from with this statement. How is this helping anyone? If you would explain what you mean it might be helpful. Most of the posts you make (and they do contain good advice frequently) are telling why other approaches will not win but I don't see any suggestion on how you recommend we play in order to win. What is your recommended bet selection? It is easy to be critical of other methods of play but how about telling us how you recommend the game be played. I am interested in your ideas but I don't know what they are.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'll try to give more detailed advice once people stop attacking me. Right now I can't get very far with people wasting my time on unrelated issues.

For what its worth, my only anger is directed at LIARS, CHEATS, and PHONIES, and LAZY punks. I am not directing this to anyone, but I still love Clint Eastwoods classic line......."Feel lucky punk? Well.....do ya? Go ahead, MAKE MY DAY"

Savant,
i am interested in picking your brain about your successes at this game, which along with Roulette, i prefer. I have purchased systems, developed my own, modified shortcomings, played mechanical and discretionary, kept bet spreads to a minimum, taken advantage of chop and streaks in shoes, patterns, play tie progressions, have won 30-1dragon bonuses (luck), worked on my own psychology and play style, bonded with the Asian players, etc.....Please open up and share what you know. I will do the same......thanks

I'll give you some hostility. I am usernametaken from Gambersglen. Those posts here are not from me. Stealing another person's username... that's so juvenile. I'm honored you wanted to steal my posting reputation, but you are a jerk (and you know that).

usernametaken,

I guess a lot of persons don't want to "work their way up" anymore.

Changed or stollen usernames on the same old slanted and vague "stories"; or outright claims of "never losing", "hidden math", and "emailed secrets".

Eg, i have my (for-fun) "suspicions", from his selection of phrases and key words, etc, that Savant is actually Sonny (from Blackjack Forums - Blackjack and Card Counting Forums - BlackjackInfo.com .)

And, at the time, that "supportive" post for Savant did sort of catch my eye. But, for myself anyway, that stuff was "long ago". (I still surf the other sites though for anything truly-savant.)

P.S. If you email me the same message on the proboard site (as here), and also at the GG (or reply to my thread there if GG's email isn't "stamped"), then i can verify this.

Hi - garnabby, I put a note on your new thread at gamblerglen. (I edited in the comment about here... so you might have to refresh to see it). -- from the true "usernametaken."

Would that be bet the opposite of using a 1-1-1-1-4-8-16-32-64 martingale?
Hi,

With all due respect, I would like to comment that any form of increasing bet "system" to recoup your losses is very risky and doomed for failure because it happened to my very close friend who was using a modified version of martigale that can stand 9 losses in a row and was on a winning streak and he won more than $150,000 in 3 months but because of the "human factor" eventually it will failed because you will have a false belief that you can't lose and that is when the trouble begins. He lost $300,000 in 2 days because he couldn't believe that his "system" can fail and thats when the casino took back its winnings and his capital of $150,000.

Hope someone can learn from his experience and avoid self destruction.

Fann

Fann,

Yes, somewhere here i wrote in detail about recovery-modes, virtual betting, etc.

Why would a working system (of methods, in turn of strategies/techniques,) require a recovery-mode? In my own system, there's a "recovery-mode" but which is built into the (one) betting strategy, itself.

Likewise, try to win all of the bets, big or small... don't put any stock in zero-value bets.

Isn't the first time, for me, so i'm not too phased by it... especially when i've had "death threats" from persons not trying to hide it.

I guess it's now possible, through "remailers", to do this sort of thing in secret, well sort of. ("Nomen Nescio" is from the latin, meaning "person unknown"?)

Anyway, that's my story for today.
