I was wondering, dose anybody use card counting when playing baccarat?
And if you do use counting how well do you do? I use card counting and it
seems to work for me I am not saying every time it works but most of the time I walk out a winner.

How do u count the cards for baccarat ?? same method as blackjack or ????
it is very similar to counting in black jack. I use this method.
A= +1
2= +1
3= +2
4= +2
5= -1
6= -2
7= -2
8= -1
9= do not count
10=do not count
number your score card 1-8 on the top and 1-10 down the side keep score starting at 1 and move down to ten the top part is the number of decks that have been used the side numbers are the number of hands. It is said it takes about 10 hands to use up one deck of cards.

you need to start counting at a start of a new shoe and you need to wait at least 10 hands before you start betting to establish a good count. A positive count = a bet on the bank side a negative count = a bet on the player side whatever your count is divide that number with number of decks used. But with this system do not get to over confident if you have high number count just try to get a feel if it is working well with the shoe you are playing because some shoes it dose not do that well but others you will think you have hit gold.

To the extent that baccarat is random, we have four options, to: resort to some form of existing bias by, eg, card-counting; use that fact (to the extent baccarat IS random), itself, that the "tables always turn", in some mathematical (random-walk, eg,) or "deeper" scientific (space-time model of randomness); use the already-available means on this forum to maximize the chances, accepting a negative-expectancy in the long-run; or finally, decline to play it, except as a form of pastime or entertainment.
The card-counting values above can not (alone) produce positive results... there are no true-count values for which the player will have an edge over the house. (The running-count is the on-going count-total; the true-count is the running count divided by the fraction of the shoe remaining. Eg, if 1/2 the 8-deck remains and the running-count is 10, then the true count is 20... later in the shoe, more weight can be attached to which cards were already played because more can then be deduced about which remain in the shoe.)
Suppose the first game went A,6 versus 5,7... with a 9 to the banker-holding. The count adds as follows: 1 - 2 - 1 - 2 + 0 = - 4, for the player-bet, which has a better chance when the lower-valued cards remain.
In my early days playing this game, i used to apply such simple counts only on the banker-bet... skipping those games when the banker-count was below about 15. (But it's only a matter of how many games one is comfortable passing by.) The player-bet isn't really an option when counting because the player-count is rarely high enough to indicate player-bet chances good as what the banker-bet starts with at a neutral count. (To begin with, the house enjoys a 0.2% better edge over the player-bet.)
The "situational strategies" for baccarat which i posted on this forum are not so good as the standard counting one above, which in turn is not so good as the more-indepth ones in the private forum... to which i will invite you now, that you asked about card-counting.

The "4" is the best card for Player and the "9" is the best card for banker - Per Henry Tamburin.
If there are lots of 4's left in the deck then I would be very careful if betting on Banker.
I thought card counting can't be applied on baccarat.. or can?? can someone teach me??
