    Lightbulb Calculator: Risk of Ruin

A new feature has been added to the forum: Risk of Ruin Calculator!

You can currently find it at the navigation bar on top, to the immediate right of Community. Just click Calculators, the menu will drop down, and select Risk of Ruin.

Yes, the reason why it's a drop-down menu is because we'll be adding many more great tools!

I'm keeping this post as a Sticky in the Baccarat Discussion forum for now. I would like to get some feedback on the tool. Make sure to reply to this post to give your opinion.

    Does it work properly?
    Any errors?
Any way we can improve it?

    Let me know... enjoy!

    Squirtle,

There's a thread here How Do Baccarat Professionals Live Off Their Baccarat Winnings? . Does it answer your questions?

Here are the win rates and standard deviations for the main bets in baccarat:

    Code:

      BET WIN RATE SD
    Banker -1.06% 0.93
    Player -1.24% 0.95
    Tie -14.36% 2.64
Be aware than any game with a negative win rate will have a 100% risk of ruin no matter how you vary your bets.

    Hi Mike,

Sorry, I think I did'nt notice what Savant said that any negative win rate will have 100% risk of ruin.

That is certainly true, except for the "hinters". But that doesn't mean any of those can win long-term, even if you spend your own money yourself (by avoiding anything for sale.)

Asfaras i can tell, two ways to go: accept the simple and universal argument that there is no direct financial means of gain from any of the already-available P-B (mindless) systems, as recently noted in the thread, 100% Win Rate For Baccarat?? - Gambling - Questions and Answers - Page 1 - Forums - Wizard of Vegas (probably the beginnings of another scammer); or put the time and effort into some entirely-new approach to playing and testing it, because it's not possible to say what's impossible without showing what's possible. (Not knowing where something is, one can't exhaustively say it's not specifically somewhere... one may be mistaken, lying, or overlooking it there.)

As for the known (failed) systems, skip the long-winded gobble-de-gook over at BeatenBytheClowns (scammers); and register over at the reference-only board, Welcome - Login , where i'm trying to keep the list of links up-to-date in the free-stuff (worth something) section.

You won't win more bets than you lose in the long term so it's all about mm and discipline. You need to win more on your winning bets than you lose on your losing bets, simple. You can play a deep negative mm like star and grin out wins per shoe or play big units and use up as you win mm, and scoot after capturing 2-5 units per day.

That too, is true. Gamblers without a winning approach to betting turn to MM, discipline, and finally "entertainment"... to keep the excuses for losing coming. Ever notice that it's they screaming the discipline-sermon over and over who have none (, even in their own posts)?

Never buy any system, or for that matter anything on-line... and you're on the way to some real discipline.

Anybody know how to put that calculator through it's paces? What is the win rate, thought that would be an unknown variable.

That's why it calls RUIN. A manual with examples would be a good idea.
