Excellent write-up on card counting garnabby, I've been wanting to get information on this for a bit..

So if a negative card count doesn't really matter, does a positive count in baccarat matter (in terms of knowing when/how to bet)?

When the count is positive, the player chances increase. And because card-counting usually yields about .25% off the house-edge (for either banker or player,) on rare occasions the player becomes a better bet than banker (,which is usually about .2% better than player.))

But even at the best yield for either, very rarely, at .5%, neither player nor banker can overcome the house-edge. (Card-counting systems boasting better are based on fallacy and/or next-to-impossible remaining deck-compostions.)

Even so, something is better than nothing; and can be added to that of other possible tools. And, as i've learned from personal experiences, putting up a fight does seem to matter also psychologically in a casino.

Well there is no way I will be able to succeed in card counting,I have smoke far too much marijuana in school days and find it hard to remember stuff.My memory is f##ked many years ago!LOL
