Being new to the game and this forum, I get a sense that there are a lot of "House Type" internet sites poping up egar to take your money.
I'm into computers. Is there any software geared to the player? Practice? analysis? things like that.

Now, I haven't used this particular program, but I am planning to get my hands on it soon and run it through some practice runs.
It's called Baccarat Buster (seems to be compatible with Windows XP and Vista) and it's created by Dennis Suggs of Mesa Verde Software Systems, here's the link:
http://www.bjrnet.com/catalog/BacBuster.htm
I haven't used it, so I can't vouch if it's good or not. I will say it's odd that I can't find any website for Mesa Verde Software Systems or Dennis Suggs - if anyone knows how to contact this software company let us know.
Here's the text from the site:
Baccarat Buster is Windows based software. You should have 16 MB of RAM or better and it occupies about 5 MB of disk space. Baccarat Buster is not a game or toy, it was designed for the advanced Baccarat player as a set of professional tools. It is the only serious Baccarat software on the market today. First, it was developed atop a shuffle engine, the same shuffle engine that's been driving Shuffle Trak software since 1991. That means that you are practicing and testing against a real shuffle, not a random number generator. That means that you get an endless series of non-repeating shoes. These are actual playing conditions, not simulated. You can even define your favorite casino's shuffle and practice against that casino.
If you are looking for a real world testing environment, this is the software that gets the job done. No excuses here, if you can't beat the game here, you can't do it at the tables. There are no other factors that influence the outcome. Table graphics are outstanding, you are seated at the end where you can play any of the positions 1 to 7. You can designate a position to be empty, you can play any position or you can assign it to the computer to play. When the computer is playing a position, it will place bets based on your programmable logic. You can program a variety of different logics including pattern recognition and bet progression. Most players come already preprogrammed, watch players 5 and 6, they win consistently.
"If you are looking for a real world testing environment, this is the software that gets the job done."
Card graphics are superior, cards are dealt from a shoe at the top of the screen, they move to their position where they are exposed. You can turn off the moving card graphics by selecting High Speed play mode. When in High Speed play mode the cards just appear at their positions and the game moves much faster. While you have the High Speed Mode enabled, you can enter a number in the "Number of Shoes to Run" window and Baccarat Buster will go through that many shoes without stopping. This is a good way to test player logic, you can see real fast if your logic is going hold up in the long run. And all the time, the system is recording every aspect of the play, what bets you make, what bets all the other players make, the outcome of every hand etc. After your session, you can go to the Analysis section where you can review and critique every play. You can print a complete Score Sheet for yourself or any of the computer players.
The score sheet will show each of the hands, your bet, the winner (in Z columns), your running total and a Win/Loss pattern column. You may also print blank score sheets. In the Analysis section, the system will do a complete pattern recognition analysis and print the results showing how many times each pattern was found and the percentage, how many times Bank won on the next hand and percentage, how many times Player won on the next hand and percentage, how many time Tie was the next winner and percentage.
It will also do a Losing Streak analysis, showing the longest and average number of times until Bank, Player or Tie came up as the next win. It will also give you a chart showing the 8 top percentage patterns. Then you can go to the Plotter Screen where you can enter patterns and the system will graphically display every spot in every shoe where that pattern occurred. And finally, if you are interested, there is a comprehensive Shuffle Analysis section that will completely dissect a shuffle and graphically display where every cards goes.
Anyone know of any useful baccarat software?
Since posting my original question I have purchased Baccarat Buster.
A little pricey but well worth it. You can define any shuffle you want
and the program will deal using that shuffle. It appears that solves
the problem of random number generation. You get an endless series
of non-repeating shoes.
My favorite piece is the simulator programming. You can program
simulators to play almost any betting strategy and test it in high speed
mode. I'm very happy with the software, it seems to do everything I need it to do.
Someone asked if anyone knew how to contact Dennis Suggs, the developer of the software. I haven't tried it but the user manual lists
DLSuggs@Roadrunner.com as the technical support contact.

Hi New to this forum.
Is the baccarat buster good for all types of baccarat including mini and macc style? Looking to start playing mini bac see there are a few constant winners.
Could you tell me if you had any luck using this software and how your win loss is? ty
Tried emailing the site Baccarat Buster - Software they have a email address but keeps getting returned. Could you tell me if you ordered from that site? Ty
It's great for pattern analysis and recognition with or without bet progression.
I would reccomend bjrnet.com if you want to purchase a copy.
They offer a small discount. Here's a link to their page.
Baccarat Buster - Software
I think so. It allows you to test your strategy against a real shuffle. That's the main complaint I see is that there is a difference between random numbers and the real thing at the tables.
You can define any shuffle in the world and play against that shuffle. You can even disect the shufffle to see exactly how the cards are being mixed if you want.
You can program players to play your strategy and speed through as many shoes as needed to test it. It may even prove you can't beat the game and that may save you thousands and thousands of dollars. So is it worth it?
How much is this software?
I am wondering, how a computer based program, can produce a shuffle that is not computer generated, such as rng?
Okay piece of software. It is expensive though. Major plus is you are able to define a shuffle in anyway you see fit. Another plus is that you can run your strategy pretty quickly through hundreds of shoes and see how it stands on the long term. A major con for the software is that your starting capital is at $30,000 and it is locked. You can't change your starting capital to say around $1,500 to start. E-mail support from Dennis is very quick. The reply time is pretty impressive given that it was on the weekend. Dennis replied back within 15 minutes or so after I sent an email. That is pretty impressive.
Yet I still prefer the Win@Baccarat software because of the simple fact that you can choose whatever starting capital you like to start with. Another pro I found is the statistic feature. It has the Turnover number which is the total amount you bet and the Win/%Turnover number which will indicate how effective your money management and strategy is. E-mail support from Sam Jones is not that good relative to Dennis though.
can someone give me shoe records??
What is the recommend practice software? Mike, have you found a better software? Thanks.
Bought the program cause it felt like it was a great program and lot of people claimed it can set up almost everything on the strategy.
It's been 2 days but I still haven't be able to set up the strategy. I might not be the smartest in the world but somehow the program seems a little non user friendly. If anyone out there is using the program and can give me some advice on how to easily understand the program.
Please PM me. Thanks.
What version did you purchase? I know they came out with a new version that looks more user friendly. I purchased my copy in 2010 which was still the old version. Found it to be a waste of my money since I agree that it is very user unfriendly and there is a steep learning curve in regards to knowing how to shuffle the deck. Plus I find many of the features very limited like you can't set your initial capital and the results are posted as only two elements of Ps and Bs. I am talking about the old version so there maybe changes to the new one. Yet a good thing about the software is the e-mail communication/support. Very quick and fast where they will answer you within 20 or 30 minutes and this was on a weekend.
Bought it when it first came out years ago. Unfortunately it was an absolutely horrible piece of software, the most user unfriendly
I've ever came across. Be interested to know if the modern version is more useable.
GBV,
need some advice from you....all these bac softwares in the market, are they really useful to be used as a tool to perform analysis....i remember u wrote somewhere in this forum, saying tat card counting is not helpful in bac and banker/player's trends/patterns are totally useless and u talked a bit about "Advantage Play" and dealer's error or something....so how can this kind of software help in our research? secondly have u heard of the system 3D Bac V2 selling at USD450? any comments about this system or bac systems in general?
Thanks in advance.
