Traditionally baccarat's been played by high rollers and wealthy people. Most activities like that usually have a dress code, and a baccarat pit is no exception. A tuxedo is the usual dress for the baccarat pit, but one can slide by with a nice suit.

These days things are little more relaxed in the pit. But if you want to stand out like a sore thumb you can wear a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Most casinos won’t let you in the house with sweatpants on, but if they do you definitely don’t want to walk into the baccarat pit with them on.

The idea is to feel classy as you play a game that the elite have always played. So if you’re going to play baccarat, dress up and enjoy the full experience for what it’s supposed to be.
